To aid identification we shall compare various significant parts of the wildfowl:-

The Head, Beak & Eyes

Magpie Goose	Spur-Winged Goose
The Magpie Goose has an Orange beak with a Red knob.
The Spur-winged Goose has a Pinkish Red beak.

The Breast & Body

Magpie Goose	Spur-Winged Goose
The Magpie Goose has Black and White plumage.
The Spur-winged Goose has mainly Black plumage.

The Legs & Feet

Magpie Goose	Spur-Winged Goose
The Magpie Goose has Orange legs and feet.
The Spur-winged Goose has Pink legs and feet.

Distinguishing Characteristics
Magpie Goose
	The Magpie Goose has an Orange beak.
	The Magpie Goose has Black and White plumage.
Spur-Winged Goose
	The Spur-Winged Goose has a Pinkish beak.
	The Spur-Winged Goose has mainly Black plumage.
